If The Lights Go Outs...
Yazoo Valley EPA endeavors to furnish our
member/owners with the most dependable service possible by proper line
maintenance. Electricity is an important part of our lives, and a short
outage can cause many inconveniences. Most outages are caused by storms
high winds, lightening, traffic accidents, ice on power lines, hurricane
force winds, construction work and even small animals can take their
toll.
If a power failure occurs:
- Check your breaker or fuses in your switch box panel.
- Check to see if your neighbors have lights.
- Call your local Yazoo Valley office to report the
outage. Please be prepared to give your account number, name the
account is billed in, telephone number and physical address.
- Turn off all major appliances, especially air conditioners or computers.
For your convenience and to insure reduced outage
time, Yazoo Valley EPA maintains 24 - hours Trouble Call Status. A
telephone call to your local office will put you in touch with a
dispatcher who will contact the service personnel necessary to restore
your service. However, the after-hour dispatcher does not have assess to
billing information.
